Through the Rwanda Coffee Value Chain Development Project implemented by ICU and financed by the European Union, Penagos & JK Trading & Services supplied UCBE pulpers to 6 Coffee Washing Stations across Rwanda as well as supplied 4 coffee companies with cupping laboratory equipment (huller, sample roasting machine, grinder, moisture meter, scale, cupping tables and accessories, etc.).

COFFEE SUPPLY CHAIN TRACEABILITY

The Coffee Innovation Fund is funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation (BMZ) and implemented by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH in Rwanda, Ethiopia, Kenya and Uganda. The Fund supports innovative approaches of all actors along the coffee value chain to improve their production, processing, and marketing – and to thus increase local value creation. JK Trading & Services was contracted to oversee the project implementation of a digitized coffee supply chain for improved quality, management, sourcing, and sustainability.

SUPPLY AND INSTALLATION OF 11 UDC 7500 PULPING AND SORTING UNITS AND 22 ECO WASHERS 3500

As part of its water conservation strategy, Starbucks is investing in ecological wet mills that can save up to 80 percent of water in coffee processing around the globe. In Rwanda, JK Trading & Services supplied and installed 33 ecological-friendly machines to Rwacof Export Ltd. to minimize power and water consumption per kilogram of washed coffee.

TENDER FOR SUPPLY, DELIVERY INSTALLATION AND COMMISSIONING OF HAND SORTING COFFEE TABLES FOR NATIONAL AGRICULTURAL EXPORT BOARD (NAEB) RWANDA

In order for NAEB to modernize and improve its export logistics infrastructure as well as its export services operations, TMEA on behalf of NAEB, contracted JK Trading & Services to supply deliver and install 21 hand sorting tables with seating capacity for 420 workers - including intake hopper, bucket elevators, food grade belt conveyors – in the NAEB sorting warehouse.

JK Trading & Services supplied 4-Disc McKinnon Eco-Pulpers with a full Aagaard system with an operating capacity of 3.8 - 4 tons per hour to RTC.

TENDER FOR SUPPLY, DELIVERY INSTALLATION AND COMMISSIONING OF ONE COLOUR SORTER MACHINE AND ACCESSORIES FOR GREEN COFFEE PROCESSING

JK Trading & Services was commissioned to install a green coffee sorting line at the NAEB warehouse facilities to expand NAEBs’ range of services offered to coffee export companies. The processing line entailed a Satake REZ 2500 optical Colour Sorter, destoner, elevators, as well as hopper and silos.
